Purpose & Impact
Every rehearsal, every show, every moment — you’re helping dancers grow not only in skill, but in confidence, discipline, and self-expression. At GDDC, we believe our coaches and staff make a difference that extends far beyond the studio.
Head Coach / Lead Instructor
- Develops and teaches core choreography and routines
- Leads weekly practices and ensures proper technique is enforced
- Tracks dancer progress and placement
- Enforces dress code, attendance, and behavioral expectations
- Communicates directly with dancers about performance readiness
- Provides correctional feedback and encouragement
Assistant Coach / Junior Instructor
- Assists with warm-ups, technique, and choreography review
- Helps manage dancer behavior and reinforce instructions
- Monitors small group work and provides hands-on support
- Serves as a role model to younger dancers
- Steps in during lead instructor absences as needed
Team Coordinator / Parent Liaison
- Acts as the communication bridge between staff and parents
- Shares reminders, schedules, and announcements
- Coordinates volunteer sign-ups, travel logistics, and team meals
- Helps manage costume orders, event registration, and deadlines
- Answers parent questions and directs concerns to the correct staff member
Secretary / Administrative Assistant
- Manages scheduling, attendance records, and registration files
- Assists with invoices, emails, and communication
- Supports the Director in daily administrative operations
- Helps organize events, meetings, and documents
Marketing & Media Coordinator
- Manages GDDC social media accounts and content creation
- Takes photos/videos at events (with permission)
- Designs promotional materials and announcements
- Assists with website updates and branding consistency
Studio Assistant / Intern
- Helps set up and clean up before and after classes
- Assists instructors during warm-ups and rehearsals
- Provides peer mentoring for younger dancers
- Supports with costume prep and studio organization
Intern / Director’s Assistant
- Works directly under the Director to support day-to-day studio operations
- Helps manage communication between staff, dancers, and parents
- Assists with scheduling, attendance tracking, and event preparation
- Takes meeting notes and organizes studio documentation
- Helps coordinate photo shoots, fundraisers, and performances
- Learns leadership, business, and administrative skills through mentorship
- Must demonstrate maturity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Chaperone / Event Volunteer
- Supervises dancers during performances, travel, and parades
- Helps with costume changes, lineup, and personal safety
- Follows and enforces company expectations for professionalism
- Must be approved by the Director and follow all guidelines
